Melonpanna

Melonpanna (メロンパンナ) (蜜瓜超人) is one of fourth major superhero character, she’s Creampanda older sister and Rollpanna’s younger sister. Voiced by Mika Kanai in the Anpanman anime. She is one of Anpanman's (Keiko Toda) allies.

Description[]

Melonpanna (Mika Kanai) is a bit shorter than the others but taller than Akachanman and her brother Creampanda, and wears a dark green uniform with a light green belt, shoes and gloves. Her cape has a green top, but is orange underneath. She is made from melon bread, and has a cursive "m" (a Cyrillic lower-case letter "T" in cursive form) marking on her dress. That also is the insignia on her uniform.

She has large green eyes, light green gloves and boots small green nose and two small orange cheeks at the far sides of her face. On her face are lines that cross over each other diagonally, three either way.

Personality[]

Melonpanna is very sweet and kind to everybody. She has super strength, but she doesn't like to fight. However, if push comes to shove, she won't hesitate to attack. She loves her older sister, Rollpanna, and often misses her.

Powers/Equipment[]

Melo-Melo Punch: Instead of causing harm, her special attack, Melo-Melo Punch, makes her enemies paralyzed with affection, or wakes people up from a deep sleep.

Melo-Melo Juice: Melonpanna can squeeze droplets of melon juice out of her head, which cures characters who have been made "black" by Baikinman's tricks. The only exception is when Baikinman has somehow taken the power of Rollpanna's good heart away from her, then the Juice has little to no immediate effect.

Abilities[]

Melonpanna has numerous abilites, though not all are fighting abilities:

~She is able address her as sister.

~She is also able to calm her sister down.

~Like Anpanman, Currypanman, and Shokupanman, she can fly.

Trivia[]

Some non-Japanese fans of Anpanman often mistake her for a cantaloupe.
Some of the characters, Melonpanna was a bit known as a Damsel in Distress, similar to Princess Peach from the Super Mario series and Olive Oyl from Popeye.
By some characteristics and personalities, Melonpanna shared and based on the titular character of Candice "Candy" White Adley from Candy Candy manga created by Kyoko Mizuki and Yumiko Igarashi Serialization by Kodansha Comics of Shojo Magazine "Nakayoshi", with both of their eyes being green and her head (her hair blonde) being light yellow. Melonpanna also shares characteristics of Gerda, the main heroine in the story and based on Hans Christian Andersen's The Snow Queen.
Her English name is “Melon bun” and ”哈密瓜包超人” in Chinese.
She is scared of Houtaiman when he wrap her body up with bandages
