Komusubiman (こむすびまん) is a character in the Anpanman anime.
Description
Komusubiman is named after "komusubi", or "little rice ball". He is indirectly named after a junior san'yaku ranking in the professional level on the sumo sport. He is a rice ball in his head with a wrapping behind his head. He wears typical Japanese clothing.
Komusubiman is also a student of Musubiman. His love interest is Umeko-chan.
Appearances
Komusubiman first appeared in a short attached with the anime's second film (July 14, 1990). He appeared in plenty of episodes further with his mentor. Due to these numerous appearances, they are popular minor characters of the anime.
There is a dedicated DVD with episodes featuring Komusubiman and Musubiman.
